Hey everyone, as you may have guessed already - my name is Jess. i am married to a super handsome hunk named Zack, and we have two beautiful babies together - Gracie & Rylan! We love animals deeply and have three fur babies at home as well. Bear, who is our eight year old "puppy". (P.S. We call him a puppy because he's small in stature and ever since we got him, our daughter always called him "her puppy". it just stuck. We also have our sweet tabby, Leo. And our newest addition, Marley!

 

Before Marley, we had our angel kitty - Buddy. After having him in our lives for over 8+ years, we had to come to the unfortunate decision to put him down. He was very sick, and it was heartbreaking watching him go through what he went through - and we felt like it was almost selfish of us to allow him to go through it, just for the sake of keeping him longer.

 

It took a long time for our hearts to leal, and i still don't think that they are fully mended. Buddy was truly a one of a kind cat and his love for everyone he met was immense and so strong He just wanted to make you feel better if you were sad, and wake you up in the morning with love. He wanted to be that cat who was close to you always because he was truly full of so much love.

 

Buddy took in both of our babies with love and patience as soon as they were both brought home from the hospital He loved them right from the start. And when we got Leo (so that Buddy could have a friend because Bear wasn't around yet), Leo was just a kitten. Buddy took him in, nurtured him and loved him like a father does his child

 

When Buddy passed away, our hearts not only broke, but Leo's did too - and wr could tell. Like i said, it took a lot of time for our hearts to be somewhat okay, and Marley by no means is Buddy's replacement. But I think Marley brought back a light to all of us. Something we all really needed since Buddy's passing - even Leo. It's crazy to say, but we see a lot of resemblance in Marley's action's that remind us of Buddy and we can't help but smile.

 

We know our little fur angel is with us in spirit and we felt like it was really important to share that with you guys. He's an amazing cat, and he deserves that recognition.
