
It is truly so funny and even a little bit heartbreaking to know how much I once hated my naturally curly hair. I mean, I would straighten my hair daily (something I absolutely hated doing), just to avoid having to deal with the mess of my frizzy, untamed, super unmanageable hair. And if I did keep it curly, in a bun it went.
But ever since I discovered the bowl method, this life saving technique literally not only transformed my curls - but also transformed my thoughts on how I look at my curls.
I never thought I'd wear my hair curly pretty much every single day... But here I am, doing it! And I cannot praise #thebowlmethod enough.
I do want to make one thing clear though. I still stick with my hair routine (as previously mentioned in past blogs). I reverse wash my hair ONLY on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The rest of the week I just simply rinse with water. Doing this has helped my hair TREMENDOUSLY. It's not for everyone, but I suffered with frizzy, out of control, damaged, lifeless hair for as long as I can remember and this routine really works for me.
For all of my curlu girls out there who are feeling the way I once did about rocking your natural, God giving gift. Work with it girl! Find what works for you and I promise, once you find that doark - showing off your curly locks will be your new favorite thing.
If you haven't already, I highly suggest learning more / trying out the bowl method for your hair, and reverse washing even. I wouldn't wash my hair the old way (shampoo then conditioner) EVER AGAIN!
